Over six unforgettable weeks, you'll explore the vibrant cultures, histories, and natural wonders of Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. From kayaking the River Kwai to wandering ancient temples in Angkor, you'll experience the pulse of Southeast Asia through hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and meaningful community service. Dive into local traditions with village homestays, artisan workshops, and cultural exchanges. Along the way, you’ll gain practical skills in leadership, paddling, and mindfulness, while contributing to environmental and youth empowerment projects. This is more than travel—it’s a journey of growth, connection, and discovery.
Sample Itinerary

Weeks 1 - 2: Bangkok and River Kwai Adventures
- Begin in Bangkok by meeting your new friends and setting goals and expectations for the program, followed by visits to iconic landmarks such as Wat Pho, The Grand Palace, and bustling local markets.
- Explore the Thai-Burma Railway’s WWII history, including Hellfire Pass and the Bridge Over the River Kwai.
- Develop kayaking skills and paddle along the legendary River Kwai
- Engage with Mon and Karen communities, learning their traditions through workshops and cultural exchanges.
- Discover Thai food culture and learn how to make your own local dishes.
- Explore the magical multi-tiered Erawan waterfalls

Week 3 : Service, Sustainability and Zen
- Take part in a service project working with local teenagers
- Contribute to the CO2 Forest Replantation Project, working with conservationists to restore native forests.
- Visit a rubber plantation and rural outdoor processing operation to understand how its made first hand, its sustainability impact, and its historic role in the world economy.
- Retreat for a three-day Zen experience filled with yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and personal reflection.

Week 4 - 5: Cambodia and Ancient civilization exploration
- Discover the incredible history and culture of the ancient Angkor empires while exploring the world’s largest temple complex.
- Live in a rural Cambodian village and help the community through a meaningful service exchange project.
- Kayak through a floating village to see first-hand Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.
- Hike up to and explore spectacular waterfalls on a sacred mountain.
- Explore the arts and culture of Siem Reap, including artisan workshops and a local Cambodian circus.

Week 5 - 6: Vietnam Discovery
- Discover first hand this friendly and fascinating country transforming and modernizing at hyper speed after several decades of war
- Explore the hustle, history and charm of Central Vietnam’s coastal towns and famous sea ports ranging from Hoi An to Danang to Hue
- Learn the rich handicrafts traditions from silk weaving to pottery and artistic carpentry
- Discover ancient civilizations and their jungle temples
- Kayak and hike through lush natural landscapes and go back in time
- Homestay experience in a hill tribe village -experience rich traditions, as well as, the challenges and benefits of modern worlds impact.

We’re looking for students who are curious, open-minded, and excited to learn. A positive attitude and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone are the most important things.
Depending on the particular program, you may be staying in twin rooms, shared dormitories, homestays, tents or cabins. We vet every accommodation to make sure you are safe and comfortable.
We make sure that meals are healthy and tailored to the needs of the group. Our programs are about experiencing real Asia so we include the dishes that Asia is famous for while also making sure that there is variety and a sense of familiar as well. We accommodate dietary restrictions and will ask for your preferences before the program begins.
No problem! We accommodate dietary needs, including allergies, vegetarians, and more. Be sure to let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
We encourage a healthy balance between spending time fully engaged in your surroundings and staying connected. Many of our programs include a "storytelling" element where we teach and encourage people to capture and share their experiences digitally. Most locations have phone and internet access. In remote areas, connectivity may be limited, so we will provide updates to your family through our team if you are out of coverage.
